OUR MEMBERSHIP

IAEC Member Benefits:

The IAEC provides members the opportunity for networking with other extended care programs, recovery homes, professionals, social service agencies and programs, and state government officials. The IAEC offers to qualify individuals the certification: NCRS (National Certified Recovery Specialist). IAEC Represents Recovery Residences in the State of Illinois to the public and to the Department of Human Services, Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse (SUPR- Substance Use prevention Recovery). The IAEC assists SUPR in the development of policy and licensing of facilities. IAEC offers inspection to recovery residences. The IAEC holds monthly meetings of general membership.

 

Anyone interested and committed to advocating for quality recovery residential services can benefit from being a member. Individuals, agencies, or facilities can request an application for membership by completing our online form. To learn more about IAEC please feel free to attend the next monthly meetings. Member benefits include:

 

  • Keep membership informed of new and developing government policies at state and national levels.

  • Offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs) through monthly trainings and workshops on alcoholism and drug recovery residential programs.

  • Provide technical assistance for establishing, managing, and/or licensing sober living facilities.

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP: $100

Requirements: Currently working in a recovery residence setting, supports a recovery resident setting, or currently has a NCRS credential or is working towards it. 

AGENCY MEMBERSHIP: $300

Requirements: Support the role of residential care facilities, recovery homes and Oxford Houses in Illinois. 

AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP:

$300 SINGLE SITE

$600 MULTI SITE

Requirements: State of Illinois licensed extended care facility or recovery home, adhere to the IAEC Code of Ethics. 

Beginning the Membership Process

Thank you for your interest in becoming an IAEC member. 

 

If you are an individual interested in an individual membership, simply fill out the application and submit your annual fee of $100.

 

If you want to become an agency member, please note ALL of the information below before submitting your membership form:

  • Download and review the Inspection Certification Checklist (Insert Link to Document)

  • You must include ALL of the recovery residences in the process and how many beds

  • You must be prepared to submit a payment along with your application.

    • $300 one-time inspection certification fee

    • Along with a $300 annual fee for single site or $600 annual fee for multiple sites

Once your Membership Form is received and approved, an IAEC representative will contact you and schedule an inspection of your residence(s).

 

NOTE: In accordance with IAEC BYLAWS, all Agencies/Organizations operating unlicensed recovery homes, sober living environments, or extended care facilities require an annual inspection to be conducted by IAEC.
 

Please attach a copy of your State of Illinois license to this application if your Agency is licensed.
